Blair was raised in Alleghany County and attended Averett University, graduating with a BBA. She began singing when she was 4, studying piano, organ and voice during her school years. She has sung with the Roanoke Symphony Chorus, Franklin Community Chorus and numerous groups over the years ranging from bluegrass to opera.
Blair is the Family Service Counselor at Mountain View Memorial Park/Forest Rest Natural Cemetery located in Boones Mill. After over 30 years in the construction industry, she felt the need to serve people and asked God to open a door. That door was opened in 2013 and she has been serving families assisting them during what can be a difficult time when a loved one passes.
Blair has one daughter, Annie, who is a 2019 FCHS graduate and will be pursuing her degree in Musical/Theatre, minoring in psychology and education at George Mason University this fall. She and Annie have a dog, Toto, and a cat, Becca.
She spends her free time with Annie and family. Enjoying all styles of music and the outdoors are two of her favorite pass-times. She is the Vice-President of the SML Kiwanis Club and serves on the Leadership Committee for Franklin County Young Life.
“Our kids are our greatest gift. Providing them a strong foundation in Christ while incorporating music as they learn is a wonderful opportunity. I look forward to meeting everyone and becoming a part of the Rocky Mount Christian Church family.”
